Setting Sail for 2025#
On the first day of 2025, the past is cleared, and the future is promising! May everything from 2024 be a prelude to the surprises of 2025. There is no such thing as a shortcut in life; it is all about the accumulation of ordinary efforts over time. Heaven will not disappoint those who work hard. Quietly strive and cultivate; all success comes from deep preparation!
Time flies so fast; 2025 has set sail. As the New Year's bell rings, we all make wishes, and everyone strives for those beautiful wishes. But don't overlook these six small things around you. Doing well in these six small things will make your body healthier and more peaceful.
Reflecting on 2024#
Looking back at the journey of 2024, those past glories are like the rays of bright sunlight in the dark forest described by Dante, which once guided us through a beautiful path.
However, indulging too much in it can turn that ray of sunlight into a blinding light that makes it difficult for us to explore further.
As Ouyang Xiu said: “Disasters often accumulate from neglect, and wisdom and courage are often hindered by indulgence.”
The past pains and failures are like heavy lead stones, dragging our spirits into a negative abyss.
Every reminiscence of failure feels like pouring salt on an unhealed wound, unbearable pain.
These memories are like the tangled emotions described by Li Yu, “cutting but cannot be severed, tangled yet chaotic.”
However, “understanding the past cannot be changed, knowing the future can be pursued.” Preserving these memories is not about forgetting history but about understanding and letting go, no longer allowing the past to become a shackle on the soul.
The past cannot be chased; preserving the memories of the past year is a form of self-forgiveness!
1. Be Friends with Time#
Use time wisely, cherishing your time as you would cherish money. Spending an hour or two reading, writing, and an hour or two binge-watching shows, playing games, or scrolling through short videos has vastly different impacts. The former helps a person grow, while the latter consumes a person.
Please remember: what feels good in the moment is often not beneficial. May we resist junk entertainment and use our time in ways that yield compound benefits.
2. Do Not Borrow Trouble from the Future#
Never worry about things that have not yet happened; the world is full of uncertainties, and no one knows what the distant future holds. Focus on living in the present and making the most of each day.
As for what will happen in three or five years, it depends on how each today is spent. The causes of yesterday lead to the effects of today, and today’s causes will be tomorrow’s effects. Work hard on the causes, and let the effects come naturally.
We live in an age of rampant material desires; as long as human desires are unfulfilled, they will never be satisfied. You could be driving a Rolls-Royce and still envy others flying planes.
But culture can provide us with a continuous supply of fresh nourishment and lasting satisfaction from within. Ultimately, people need to seek inward.
In times of confusion, reading some classic works that have stood the test of time can provide a lot of nourishment and energy. They can enrich our minds and nurture our souls.
In conclusion: In the new year, I wish everyone has food in their pockets, love in their hearts, and a happy life!
2024 was the year of my fastest growth! I am grateful for what I once had and will never forget; I am grateful for what I have received and will cherish it even more; I am grateful for those who have helped me, and they will always be in my heart! I am grateful for what I have lost, which will forever remain a memory; no matter what it is, it has allowed me to grow and made me understand that to achieve what I want, I must rely on my own efforts!
In 2025, go do what you want to do, go meet the people you want to see! Live each day at your own preferred pace! May all the wishes made in the new year come true!
2024 has passed, the past is cleared, and 2025 has arrived, with a promising future ahead.
